About Donald K. Nix...

 
 

Born in Lexington, Kentucky. University of Southwestern Louisiana (Now LSU-Lafayette) from 1965-1967. Transferred to Baylor University in 1967. Obtained a B.A. from Baylor in Political Science in 1970, and a J.D. from Baylor Law School in 1971.

Initially employed by Davis & Walker (Fred W. Davis and R. Jeff Walker), both now retired state district judges). In 1975, founded Nix & Rollins with J. Andrew Rollins (now deceased). Built present office building in 1977.

Solo practice since 1980, but shared offices with several attorneys, including Toby Goodman, Pat Remington, Kenneth Kautz, Terry Leedy, Stan Wilkes, and Michael J. Remme.

Married to Peggy Nix, former school teacher and school counselor, now a private counselor (MA, M.Ed, LPC, RPT, and CFLE) with Cornerstone Counseling Center.

 

Father of one son and one daughter, grandfather of two.

Member of Arlington Bar Association since 1971. (Director 1977, Secretary-Treasurer 1979, President 1981)

Member of State Bar of Texas, Tarrant County Family Law Bar Association, Tarrant County Probate Bar Association, and Tarrant County Bar Association.

Member of Arlington Kiwanis Southwest (President 1981 and 2002) and First United Methodist Church of Arlington.
